On Skype?

I got an email yesterday that read:

"Hey r any of u ppl on Skype?"

My little sister, not knowing what Skype was, and asked:

"Skype? Is that some kind of drug?"

Well. . . I've heard that being on Skype, really makes you talk a lot. And since, I already talk like a CD in fast forward and on repeat, I think I'd better stay away from it!

Blonde Moment

I might have hair the colour of my little brother after helping bring the coal in, but I am quite capable of acting like the typical "Blondie."

Like that night I was getting ready for bed, after reading this really engrossing book, "New Moon". I was so wrapped up in it, I was only half conscious to what I was doing. This meant picking up the wrong bottle from the dresser table. It took a while for me to realise the glop I was rubbing into my face was leave-in hair conditioner.

Or that time when I was in a hurry to catch the mailman. I post my mail by leaving it out on the mailbox for the postman to pick up. Because it was raining, I had put the envelope in a plastic cover. While walking that long and exhausting walk from the front door to the front road, I realised there was something wrong with the stamp. . . I had remember to put on a stamp, thankfully, but was in such a hurry, I'd put it on after putting the envelope in the plastic envelope. So the stamp was stuck on the outside of the plastic, with the letter to Grace on the inside. With a layer of plastic between them. Duh.

Being blonde does have its advantages. Like being able to turn up to a party with an outrageous bright orange jacket and your 8-year-old brother's beanie, with no one blinking an eye. Sometimes though, I do wish my brain was slightly more connected to the rest of me.

Sometimes.

Go the mindless blondes!!! WHEEEEEEEE!

Welcome Speeches

To celebrate the grand opening of my new blog, I shall begin with the appropriately long, boring speech.

To Kate, who's thought provoking blog inspired me to create my own. Your great posts, such as "The Rotten Apple and the New Seed" are to be greatly admired!

To Ron, who brilliantly bonded my name with one of my greatest hobbies, by typo-fying "o" on the end of "unicycle".

To Grace, because I know she would not want to be left out!

To my left shoe, who mysteriously manages to keep cleaner than my right.

To everyone who reads this, do you seriously have nothing better to do??? Because you are reading this still, I shall take that as a no! Not that I appreciate your time, but if ever you feel unfulfilled by reading random people's blogs, I most highly suggest taking up unicycling! A most rewarding and noble sport. *nudge nudge*

And that concludes our speeches for today. Thank you for falling asleep in your chairs and trying very hard to look interested. You failed, but the effort was such a noble gesture.

Have a Hoop-Dee-Doo day!
